Bokakhat Tea Estate
One estate. A remarkable heritage.
Located in the renowned tea-growing landscape of Upper Assam, Bokakhat Tea Estate represents a distinctive combination of history, natural abundance and generations of tea-growing experience.
With origins dating back to 1877, Bokakhat carries a heritage of nearly one and a half centuries.
Its location near the Kaziranga landscape gives the estate an exceptional natural setting. The surrounding forests, wetlands, agricultural landscapes and biodiversity contribute to the distinctive character of the region and reinforce the importance of responsible stewardship.
The estate's natural environment provides the foundation for producing distinctive Assam tea, while the knowledge, skill and dedication of its people bring that potential to life.
Today, the estate produces approximately 1.6 million kilograms of tea annually.
From the Heart of Upper Assam
Bokakhat occupies a distinctive place in the tea-growing landscape of Upper Assam.
The estate benefits from a setting shaped by the natural richness of the region and its proximity to the Kaziranga landscape. This closeness to one of the world's most celebrated wildlife habitats reinforces our responsibility towards maintaining the natural balance and biodiversity of the environment in which the tea garden operates.
The landscape around Bokakhat is characterised by lush vegetation, abundant rainfall, tropical warmth and a rich variety of flora and fauna.
This connection between tea, land and nature is an important part of the Dhansiri philosophy. We believe that a tea estate is not simply an agricultural enterprise. It is a living landscape — one that supports people, plants, wildlife and communities.
